Adventures in Driving

What a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
John wanted to get some 'stock footage' for various video productions he does, so we set out 'over the mountains and through the woods' literally.

We started out in Malta,

while John video taped Raft River School...

...I found prettier things to take pictures of.

Then it was off to Elba,

we saw some very cool old houses...

...and a curious friend.

Here is where 'over the mountain' comes in. This is Oakley from on top of the mountain.

This old bell is in front of The Oakley Elementary School. We had a lot of fun and learned a little history in the process.

It was a good day!

Round two!

Here we go again....two days ago I raked all those leaves up and now look!! Luckily, there were a lot less to rake this time.
Shastina, Lyndsey, and the girls were hanging out here today, so guess what? Time to rake and jump!!

Rosanna was first...

...then Layla.

Ally was next...

...and lets not forget Jerrica.

The Wienermobile!

"Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Mayer wiener, that is what I really want to be.."

Today, Jerrica and I went to Walmart, just as we were walking up to the store the Wienermobile pulls up. Jerrica thought it was cool "Look Grandma, a hotdog car".

I thought it was really cool too!!

We got to look inside the wienermoble and Jerrica got a wiener whistle.

You know what the funny thing is.....I've never typed the word 'wiener' so many times in my life!!

It's fall again!

Is it fall? Is it winter? No it's fall.....This has been crazy weather we have been having. I think this is the first time I have had to use my snow shovel before my rake. Before the snow storm last weekend, the leaves on our trees in the front yard were just starting to turn yellow. After the storm, they all fell to the ground when the snow started melting, you couldn't see any snow through the blanket of leaves. So today I decided it was time, since all the snow was gone, to rake the leaves up.

Ally and Jerrica wanted to help, too. Ally did a great job raking the leaves into a big pile, but she had other plans than to put them in a bag.....

The girls and I had a lot of fun. I would rake leaves into a pile and they would jump into them..

...again and again and again!!!

Pippin had as much fun as we did, chasing the leaves and running up and down the trees.

Jerrica was so afraid that Pippin was going to fall out of the tree, she told her "It's okay Pippin, I'll catch you!"

Time had come to actually pick the leaves up, sixteen bags later, the yard looks great!!

New additions to the family (No the girls are not expecting, yet!!)

Alright, it has been awhile since my last post and we have had a couple of new additions to the family. First, we have Pippin the kitty. She showed up on our doorstep out of nowhere, how could we turn her away?! She is playful and sweet, Frodo likes to play with her, Sam isn't so sure...(caught on to the pattern of the names yet?) Have we turned into the crazy cat people yet?

Second, we have a 'new' old piano. Thanks to my Aunt Ruby (her piano), my Mom (it was at her house), Lyndsey (her muscle and for not passing out ;->), John (for his patience and creativeness), and Marc (for the use of the trailer). It is a beautiful piano, although half the keys stick and the other half do not play, I still love it. Ally and Jerrica like it too!!

And we can't forget Sam, he thinks he is King of the world sittin' pretty on top of the piano!

Oh geez, we ARE the crazy cat people!!!

Good Morning!

Everyone knows we have two cats: Frodo and Sam. I just want all of you to know what it is like for me to get ready in the mornings. As you can see..........Sam loves to drink out of the sink (that or he got into John's beer last night). It makes it a little difficult to put makeup on or curl my hair with his 'big' butt hanging off the sink.

It doesn't seem to bother him one bit. However, once he has quenched his thirst, it is time to play. Now, remember he is still in the bathroom....... and what do cats love to play with in the bathroom? That's right the toilet paper!!

Welcome to my world!!
