I think it's time for an update!

Shastina, Lyndsey, the girls and I went to the pumpkin patch in October. We all had a blast!

(What? I told you we needed an update!)

November was Thanksgiving at The Weedops...

Then Christmas...what can I say, we love our cats!

January has come and gone leaving snow, rain, and a muddy mess in it's path. It is now February and I am sooo looking forward to spring. Hopefully it won't take me another 5 months to update again....but I'm not making any promises!

September already!

It seems that summer has flown by so fast, it's already September! The girls were here quite often this summer and it has been a lot of fun! Rosanna and Layla would spent a couple of nights a week with us.

Layla is always laughing or talking!

Rosanna's string cheese smile!

While Lyndsey and Marc's house was being rebuild this summer, Lyndsey, Ally, and Jerrica spent a lot of time here also.

Little Miss Jerrica!

Ally and her olives!!

And some of the time........they were ALL here!

Now with Ally and Rosanna back in school, my house is a little more quiet, there are not toys strewn about or crumbs under the table, and you know what? I miss it! Okay, let's be real, I miss the girls!! So now John and I and the cats enjoy quiet evenings outside until it gets too cold!! It has been a fun summer!

Pool fun!

Finally, we have warm weather! So on Thursday, Layla, Rosanna, and I went to Walmart and got a pool. Lyndsey, Ally, and Jerrica came over. The girls had a blast playing in the water and taking in the sun!

Even Lyndsey got in on the act....

It was a fun day for all!!

Blizzard of the Month

So, John and I were watching TV last night after dinner when a Dairy Queen commercial came on:

Brownie Batter Blizzard® - it's the Blizzard® of the Month!

Double-chocolate brownie batter blended with real fudge brownie pieces and creamy vanilla soft serve

Now usually ice cream would not be my first pick for a snack, but man oh man did that ad work on me and I was still full from dinner!

Here is the dilemma, John and I are on this new 'diet' or 'life style change' and DQ blizzards are not on the menu. But it looked soooo good! So we compromised, we walked to DQ. It started raining a little on our way there, but we had our umbrellas.

And yes, it was totally worth the walk and the rain!!

Rosanna's Soccer Game

Today, John and I went to Rosanna's soccer game in Twin Falls. The game was at 9:00am! That is 9:00am (in the morning) on a Saturday!

Rosanna takes the ball!

Then it happened....

After taking a break.....Rosanna was back in the game. Finishing with a win of 2-1. She did GREAT!!

Tag I'm it....finally; at last; eventually; after considerable delay.

I knew this day would come, it just hurts to be the last one picked. But, life goes on, so here are MY six things that make me happy:

1. My family: Ya gotta love 'em!!

2. My granddaughters: I know they are my family, but they are in a class of their own.

3. My cats:

4. My Wine: I love at the end of the day, it's quiet, my favorite show is on and someone brings me a nice glass of wine!! Thanks honey!!

5. Moving funiture: It's wierd, I know, but it's relaxing for me and it makes ME happy!

6. Going for a drive: A drive in the mountains with my best friend!

If John had a blog, I would tag him....hint, hint.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know it's not 'the day' yet, but I was at the store with Ally, Jerrica, and Layla, when Ally wanted Valentine's cookies. So instead of buying the already frosted cookies, I had the wonderful idea of letting the girls decorating their own. I did however, buy undecorated heart shaped sugar cookies and a can of white frosting (a little red food coloring and BAM! pink frosting). I know, I know what kind of Grandma am I? Whatever, the girls had fun!!

And here are my cookies.....don't they look good?
